COULSON’S CRIB, LLC
COMPANY BACKGROUNDER

Danielle Batchelor and her mother, Cookie Centracco, like to travel and eat in restaurants. When Danielle became a mother, she and Cookie were determined to continue to enjoy dining out near Danielle’s home in San Francisco.Despite the embarrassing spills and dropped toys, germ-covered high chairs and dirty tables at just the right height for teething, the two persevered. They endured nasty looks from other diners and restaurant staff, tipping well to compensate for the messes they left behind.

In 2007, while visiting a wine bar in Sonoma County with her husband and 7-month-old son, Danielle imagined a product that would cover the standard restaurant high chair and extend onto the table like a placemat to prevent food and toys from falling to the floor. Danielle shared her idea with her mother, who voiced her own concerns about dirty restaurant high chairs and tables. Cookie wanted a germ barrier between the unsanitary furniture and her beloved grandchild.

The two began searching websites and baby stores for the product of their dreams. Frustrated by finding nothing resembling their concept, Danielle and Cookie made their first prototype using a flexible auto windshield screen, vinyl fabric and duct tape. Neatnik Saucer® was born.

Over the next year, they perfected this unique dining accessory with input from friends with babies and toddlers. A flexible rim was added to catch spills and discarded food, suction cups were secured to the underside of the placemat portion to provide stability on smooth surfaces and straps were sewn in to secure toys, pacifiers and cups with handles. Danielle and Cookie found stylish, child-safe fabrics that wipe clean easily and adjusted the Neatnik Saucer design to fold up quickly into a small, useful bag.

Today, Neatnik Saucer is an integrated high chair liner, placemat and germ barrier that covers everything within baby's reach. Recommended for ages 6 months to three years, it fits all standard restaurant high chairs and some boosters and chairs intended for home use. At a suggested retail price of $32.95, it is available for purchase online and at specialty stores across North America. For store locations, visit www.neatniksaucer.com.

Cookie and Danielle founded Coulson's Crib, LLC in late 2007 to manufacture and distribute the now patented Neatnik Saucer and other products designed to keep babies safe and moms happy and relaxed when dining socially.

Danielle Batchelor
Co-President, Inventor

A graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, Danielle began her career at CBS in New York City. In 2000, she relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area and joined Internet start-up Shockwave.com. Unlike many of her peers in Silicon Valley, Danielle stayed with the company for seven years and through two mergers/acquisitions. As Shockwave became AtomFilms and then MTV Networks, she advanced from a sales position to director of the global campaign and sponsorship management team.

While on maternity leave after the birth of her first child in 2006, Danielle visited a wine bar in Sonoma County with her son and husband. As she repeatedly bent to retrieve food and toys that had been dropped to the floor, the idea for Neatnik Saucer formed in Danielle’s mind and began to shape her future as a mom entrepreneur.

Cookie Centracco
Co-President, Inventor

A serial entrepreneur with a doctorate in French Literature, Cookie Centracco knows a good idea when she sees one. Her first business adventure began in 1979 when she met the inventor of a new game called Pente. She became a founding partner of Pente Games, Inc., and in less than four years grew the company from a one-employee operation to the point at which over two million games had been sold and the rights to Pente were purchased by Parker Brothers, Inc.

In 1983, Cookie founded Zagal, Inc, a jewelry company specializing in hand-made sterling and semi-precious stones. Under Cookie’s management, Zagal designs received widespread recognition for their bold geometric look and were photographed for Vogue. The line was sold by leading luxury retailers, including Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman.

An avid patron of the performing arts, Cookie co-produced Squonk Opera (Bigsmorgasbordwunderwerk), the first performance art musical to arrive on Broadway.

When her daughter, Danielle, decided to solve the chronic baby mess problem, Cookie just had to jump on board.
